We’re seeking a motivated Field Assistant / Core Logging Technician to join an active exploration drill program in Western Australia’s Mid West region, located

approximately 2 hours north of Perth, between the Turquoise Coast and the Wheatbelt.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Geology Graduate looking to gain hands-on field experience, or an experienced Geologist seeking a short-term exploration role.

Role Details

  • Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

  • Program Start: 25th June

  • End Date: 2nd September

  • Hours: 12-hour dayshift only

  • Location: Mid West WA

  • DIDO: modern camp facilities

Rates

  • $60/hr flat depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Driller and Driller’s Assistant to collect and process drill samples

  • Log geological observations and assess mineral content

  • Maintain accurate sample tracking and field records

  • Assist with general field operations, equipment setup and sample dispatch

  • Comply with all site safety procedures and reporting requirements

About You

  • Previous mineral sands experience (highly regarded)

  • Aircore, RAB or RC drilling experience (preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote field environment

  • Practical, safety-focused and reliable

Qualifications & Tickets

  • C-Class Driver’s Licence (essential)

  • Forklift Ticket (desirable)

  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology or related field (advantageous)
